Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve witnessed a significant and impressive community growth, improvements to our technology and every other aspects of Pascal. One after the other, we are putting every required piece together and making Pascal work at the best possible efficiency and also maintain an interactive community which have formed the biggest support for our project.
It’s been an interesting couple of weeks and time runs so fast! Here are the top events of the past month:
NFTs on Pascal blockchain?
Pascal blockchain’s potentials are near limitless; enabled with features which allow users create digital signatures and transfer them; building a platform for minting, transferring and trading Non-fungible tokens has been a subject of serious deliberation in community in the past weeks. Pascal developers are considering the prospects of Pascal blockchain joining the NFT trend. Pascal’s tremendous speed and scalability gives it an edge, developers are putting this into consideration. External blockchain developers knowledgeable in NFT and DeFi are also welcomed to join this discussion and development.
Account recovery timeline
Account expiry and recovery have been a topic of heated arguments since its inception. While it works to sustain holders’ participation; it is a fact that some investors tend to keep their investments dormant for a very long period of time, account recovery falls through in cases like this. Major considerations include; removing this rule entirely, extending the dormancy period from four years or recovering only empty accounts.
Thanks to a community vote, we are excited to announce that we have reached a final agreement regarding this long lasting topic and will work to implement these decisions which are as follows:
- Accounts with balance greater than zero can be recovered AFTER 10 years
- Empty accounts can be recovered AFTER 4 years but only by an Authoritative account (PASA dispenser, the ASK FOR PASA feature)
- Coins will be recovered as a FEE for the miner, only the miner (or pool miner) will retrieve coins
A new Pascal Account dispenser!
Getting a new Pascal is a unique process, the ease of this process largely depends on the users’ technical abilities and conversance with the Pascal blockchain. New users are expected to have almost ‘Zero’ knowledge of this process and we have since channel tangible resources towards simplifying this process. Previously, we published a guide on How to obtain a Pascal account featuring the best possible ways to obtain a Pascal Account and a comprehensive guide through the procedures.
In addition to these existing options, we are adding another alternative means of obtaining a Pascal account to further simplify users’ journey to using the Pascal Blockchain. The new PASA dispenser allows you obtain a Pascal Account with only your Public Key…and a smart device too.

Proposal on distribution of recovered accounts
We are discussing possible ways to distribute recovered Pascal accounts effectively. Community members have offered a number of suggestion on the best possible ways to do this. Community proposals have been submitted an voted on, we invite the rest of the community to take part in this discussion.
Update on wallet translations
Since kicking off the wallet translation exercise, we have made gradual yet tangible progress in translating the classic wallet into several languages. We have currently completed translations to French, Mandarin and Bengali, we are working on adding support for as many languages as possible. We invite the entire Pascal community and interested cryptocurrency enthusiasts to join the translation exercise and translate the Pascal wallet to their respective languages. Our translation bounty still runs and translators will receive their bounty prizes on completion.
